The Thornhill is beautifully situated on the seafront with no hills to climb and only a few 100 yards from the town centre. You can just walk across the promenade to the sandy beach, where you can sunbathe and swim.

We have just enjoyed a 5 night stay (and survived storm Babet) and we have been very happy here. A spotlessly clean room, excellent breakfast, and in a great location too, very close to the beach and convenient for the town. We would definitely stay here again.
Excellent location. The whole place is spotless. We had room 10 which was a little small but the sea view rooms were all booked. The bed was very comfy and pillows very good. Breakfast was good with a choice of cereals and fruit plus yogurt. Cooked breakfast was ordered and cooked fresh. Plenty of toast and tea/coffee.There is no parking on site, but parking opposite is metered but only for 2 hours during the day. After 6pm is free till next morning. We parked in a big car park just up the road. Was £4.90 for 24 hours. We were visiting friends who live in Teignmouth, so ideal. Would visit again.
We stayed at the hotel for the shanty weekend as always hotel clean and tidy the food was great and service we would have no hesitation on rebooking here again and many thanks to the owners. The hotel is close to the station and is overlooking the beach parking can be a problem but there is a large car park not very far away and there is parking outside on the road overnight free
